Oh how I need one of these! I have spent HOURS trying to find a solution to this problem! Starting tomorrow,I fly for two days to reach my destination and the AIRLINES wont help with keeping my embrel cool.How come I didnt find this?I’ll have it for next time!

My first thought was, “Who wants a battery powered peeler?” Then I remembered this was directed at the arthritis afflicted. “Bing!” The light bulb came on. What a marvelous gadget!

Listening to your Arthritis song, this is the first time I’ve felt unalone in this sense of robbery I’ve been experiencing. I’m a musician/guitarist with erosive ostseoarthritis. This isn’t all of who I am but it surely feels like it sometimes, and I grieve. Thanks for opening up that for me to look at more closely. You provide inspiration for me.

I couldn’t believe the things I was reading under the thesaurus entry for disabled, even in the 2009 online version of the thesaurus. Having a medical condition like arthritis may stop a person from doing certain thing, but it can also open up opportunities for growth and sharing of information, like this blog. It is so unfair to categorize people with disabilities like that, because so many opportunities exist for people with disabilities, and Aimee is a good example of this. Thank you for sharing this video.

I can see the connection you made between this song and someone with arthritis or chronic pain, the words just seem to fit. Sometimes little things like climbing a staircase or getting out of bed can seem like moving mountains when you are dealing with chronic pain. You have to know that the world out there is beautiful in order to motivate yourself to get going sometimes.

Thank you thank you thank you.
I was feeling all alone. I must admit my partner (god bless him) thinks I look sick and tired cos I am down, but I am down because I am sick and tired. I also go to work and put up that “front”. People ask me if I am “cured” until my next flare up or hospital visit, and then they are silent. People don’t understand and I don’t blame them. But it is exhausting being so “brave”, I constantly have to lie about how I am feeling to avoid feeling negative about the situation, but if I was honest then I would constantly be complaining and that is the last thing I want to be doing.
I find having a focus like triathlon so fulfilling, I wish I could just concentrate on my mind and body for a few months rather than going to work. I’m not lazy I actually love the work I do, it’s just the people I feel I need to not be telling everyone how I am doing, constantly updating them on my medical condition it really bothers me.
But once again thank you so much for your blog – it is the most awesome thing I have found on arthritis so far!

I suffer terribly with arthritis in my hands but as soon as I stopped eating red meat it made a huge difference. I still eat fish and I can’t resist bacon (who can!) but I’m sure it is because I’m no longer eating the fats in the meat that has helped me.

What a beautiful post and thanks for adding the link to the show. I am going to watch it this morning.

My optimism comes from those around me. I have been fortunate to surround myself with family and friends who believe RA is in my life for the short run. Like Michael J. Foxx, so many wonderful things have come from this experience. I am a lucky girl.
